I really enjoy building communities.
That means I connect and celebrate groups of people with common interests.
I rally them around a product, service, individual, or important cause.
Once people join my communities, I use digital tools and communication techniques to build and maintain relationships with them.
If you want to build a thriving community, first focus your energy on ways to retain members. There is no better way to recruit new members than to keep current ones happy – bragging – and involved.
I also want to share with you some techniques for building new communities. Early on, it is important to form meaningful connections between members. You can do this by planning impactful shared experiences.
Of all the communities I could build, my favorites support the empowerment of youth, women, diversity in technology, and people of color.
The secret to my success is networking and I think people make it harder than it has to be. Connect with me. Consider this your ice breaker: tell me about one community to which you belong.
You should know, I am also very organized and constantly work on optimizing my workflow. So if you wonder why my posts and tweets center around increasing productivity and morning/nighttime routines, now you know 🙂
