About Me

Ashley G. Scott

Community Building | Personal Branding | Marketing + PR | Productivity

With a B.A. in Advertising & Public Relations from Purdue University, Ashley Scott Martin has mastered the art of personal branding and community building. That means she connects and celebrates groups of people with common interests and rallies them around products, services, individuals or an important cause. Using digital tools to create innovative social media strategies, she helps clients cultivate meaningful relationships with audience members that elevate their brand both on and offline.

Before the age of 25 she received a number of awards that acknowledged the impact of her gift. For example, she’s one of Purdue University’s Outstanding Young Alumni award recipients, a YWCA Woman of Distinction, and one of her Chamber of Commerce’s Top 10 Under 40 award recipients as well.

Although she has had professional experiences with for-profit companies like Saatchi & Saatchi X and worked on brands like Gillette, EA Sports, and Frito Lay she was more deeply satisfied by her work with nonprofits like Purdue University, MatchBOX Coworking Studio and social enterprises like digitalundivided who have worked with companies such as Facebook, American Express, Ogilvy and Google to support and increase the number of diverse founders in tech.

Through it all, she has maintained a commitment to creating spaces where youth, women, and people of color prosper both personally and professionally. Ashley founded the Black Professional network in Greater Lafayette, IN, the Black Thought Collective in Purdue University’s Nationally recognized Black Cultural Center and she is now devoted to uplifting and inspiring others around the world through Cerulean Consulting Group and CurlyInCollege.com.
